LUKAS BOHACEK
Producer + Audio Engineer
Lukas Bohacek (MC JOOKY) moved to Calgary from Prague, Czech Republic in 2022 to custom-build Chill Kill Studio, equipped with almost two decades of experience in the European music industry as a producer, audio engineer, Czech rap artist and singer (MC JOOKY). Lukas began as an independent recording artist in 2006, performing across Czech Republic until he was signed to the Czech record label Prague Strikes Back Records in 2015 until relocating to Canada in 2022. During his career as an artist and producer he worked with many Czech and international artists including MATO505, Rupin Music, Target Crew, Sonny G, 310 KRU, GUS GUS (Iceland), KAY (USA), MC Claudio (Portugal), MC Fadda (France) and EMAJ (UK).
JENNIE SIMM
General Manager + Marketing
A born-and-raised Calgarian, Jennie Simm (BFA, MFA) has been involved in the Canadian arts + music community for over twenty years in a multitude of roles; artist, designer, production technician, promoter and most-notably Editor-in-Chief and Co-Publisher of the Calgary arts + music magazine Big Kitty, one of Western Canada's most prolific cultural street magazines and was named Publisher of the Year in Canada (Nom De Plume Award Winner 2024).
Beginning with a record label internship at Flemish Eye at age 16 , Jennie moved into event production/promotion during her BFA (AUArts) where she studied sound + interactive design for live performance and has worked in the arts + music industry professionally ever since. Jennie's award-winning stage designs and art installations have been exhibited at festivals and venues across North America including TEDTalks, Burning Man, Sled Island, Canada National Arts Centre, SXSW and featured on Discovery Channel's Daily Planet. As a visual artist , Jennie uses her creative skills within the music industry producing animated + live-action music videos, live visuals and marketing materials such as concert posters and merch design. She also was the former Art Director for the long-running (and beloved) BeatRoute Magazine, arguably Canada's greatest rock'n'roll street paper.
Stepping into the role of GM at Chill Kill Studio, Jennie brings years of experience in studio management including owner/director of Studio Cartel (2012-17) and production manager at Quickdraw Animation (2010-12) combined with media, marketing expertise and a designer's eyes.
